Spiteri's Auto Service gives a minimum of 1 year/12,000 mile warranty on most repairs and in some instances, longer. We make sure that all our work meets or exceeds the new car manufacturer's warranty standards. Don't be fooled = Misconception There a big misconception in the automotive industry that you must have your vehicle serviced at the new car dealership in order to maintain your warranty. As a consumer, it is your right to have your vehicle serviced/repaired at a qualified service facility of your choice. In fact, Spiteri's will help point out and document factory defects on your new car. Your new vehicle which is still under the manufacturer's warranty can be maintained with confidence at Spiteri's.
In 1975, the U.S. Congress passed the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act - a federal law that governs consumer product warranties. This act gives you the following rights: *Generally, your vehicle manufacturer's warranty cannot require you to return to your auto dealer for vehicle maintenance or to only use the brand of replacement parts offered by that dealer. *By law, your vehicle manufacturer's warranty will stay in effect when you have regularly scheduled maintenance performed at a qualified facility that uses appropriate parts and procedures. Furthermore, on June 13, 2007, the Motor Vehicle Owner's Right to Repair Act (HR2694) was introduced into the 110th Congress. This requires car companies to make the same service information and tools capabilities available to independent repair shops that they provide to their franchised dealer networks. So feel safe bringing your new vehicle to Spiteri's Auto Service for any of your service or maintenance needs. |
